Need help asking your hospital to provide Healthy Baby Bounty Bags? We’ve got it here!

Thanks to www.bymomsformoms.net

When we announced that the Healthy Baby Bounty Bag was available in about 200 hospitals across the country, the feedback we received was overwhelming. Mothers were thrilled to hear that there was now a breastfeeding support bag that could replace the formula bag that most new moms are given upon discharge from the hospital.

We were also flooded with questions. “When will it be in my hospital?” “How do I convince the maternity ward where I’ll be giving birth to provide this?” “What’s the best way to tell hospital administrators that there’s a breastfeeding bag?”

We’re excited to announce that ByMomsForMoms has created a letter you can download, date, and sign, then either print it out or e-mail it to your local hospital. The letter answers:

- What is the Healthy Baby Bounty Bag?
- Why is it important to mothers and babies?
- How do hospitals get it?

We see all the time how influential moms can be, and we hope that all of you will read this letter and be inspired to send it to the hospital where you will give birth, where your children were born, and even where you were born.

Tackling the issue of healthcare professionals‘ support of breastfeeding is one of the most important ones in the quest to increase breastfeeding’s incidence and duration rates in this country. Spreading the Healthy Baby Bounty Bag to all 3,500 U.S. hospitals where babies are born is the ultimate goal. If we succeed, it could be the brightest spot in the history of breastfeeding. We hope that you will be a part of this movement.

Here’s where you can download the letter, and download a fact sheet on the HBBB to send as a supplement to the letter. You can also add a photo of the bag too.
